WATCH: Security camera footage of the theft.
A woman who had her wallet stolen from right under her nose is hoping someone will recognize the culprit.
Yabsera Aklilu was closing Drones Plus, where she works as a clerk, when a man came in just as she was closing the store at 7 p.m. yesterday.
The man asks Aklilu if he can use her phone, claiming he locked himself out of his car with his dog inside.
Aklilu agrees and continues looking at her computer. While she’s distracted, the man takes her wallet, containing her Ethiopian passport.
Aklilu has filed a police report, and Drones Plus has released security camera footage of the theft.
If you have any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect, you’re asked to call Vancouver Police.
