Ottawa police say they have laid charges against a man after they temporarily closed all of their buildings to the public due to an alleged threat.
Const. Marc Soucy says a threat was received against one of the buildings at about 2 p.m. Tuesday.
He says it was decided it would be best to close all the buildings and restrict public access to them until investigators could determine exactly what was going on.
Police would not confirm the nature of the threat but a notification was sent out before 5:30 p.m. that the buildings had reopened.
Jonathan Michael Tully faces one count each of public mischief, breach of probation and common nuisance, two counts of false messages and three counts of uttering threats.
