The following outlines the conditions of the offer for the 220 Carlton site with True North Sports and Entertainment.

The conditions were outlined in an email from Deepak Joshi, former CAO with The City of Winnipeg, to Jason Fuith, Mayor Bowman’s Chief of Staff, and members of CentreVenture.  The email is dated November 20, 2014, 2 days after Winnipeg Jets owner Mark Chipman showed Mayor Bowman and Kevin Chief, NDP minister responsible for Winnipeg a promotional video for his $400 million downtown development proposal.

Option agreement for True North Sports and Entertainment for 220 Carlton:

  • February 15 2015 -Development agreement and purchase price must be completed
  • Property will be purchased at Fair Market Value
  • Ratification of agreement requires approval of the CentreVenture Board and True North Board
  • There is a $100 000 deposit from True North
  • June 15, 2015 – Option expires and deal must be closed by then
