Man in his 60s dies after crashing minivan in Oakville

OAKVILLE, Ont. – A 60-year-old man died Wednesday night after crashing his minivan into a utility pole in Oakville, Ont.

Halton Region police say the man left the road at Lakeshore Rd. and Fourth Line at about 9:25 p.m., struck the pole, and the vehicle came to rest in a snowbank.

Police say the Oakville resident was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police also say they don’t yet know if the death was caused by a medical condition or the collision.

His name was not released.
