University of Alberta dealing with multiple break-ins

EDMONTON – Police are investigating numerous break and enters at the University of Alberta campus.

Police say the first incident happened on Dec. 8 at the Student Union Building when an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

On Dec. 29, 16 offices were broken into at a U of A building. Classroom doors and desk drawers were damaged, but nothing was stolen.

A number of laptops were stolen from university classrooms throughout January.

Police are asking students and staff to lock up all laptops, mobile devices and classroom doors when possible.
