EDMONTON – Police are asking for the public’s help as they look for two people, who may be connected to a string of underground parking lot break and enters in the city’s southside.
Police say the two suspects, a Caucasian male and female thought to be in their early 20s, were caught on surveillance camera allegedly trying to break into an underground parking garage of an apartment building near Hammond Gate.
There are more than a dozen break-ins that happened in Edmonton’s south end this month and last, which police are still investigating.

In the meantime, police have the following reminders for the public, especially those living in multi-unit buildings:
– Remove all valuables and electronic key fobs and garage door openers.
– Do not leave important documents with personal information in your vehicles, including registration and insurance.
– Be wary of strangers in your building and do not hold the door open for people you don’t recognize as tenants.
– Building managers should ensure proper tracking of keyless entry fobs and have proper video surveillance cameras in place.
– Be mindful of who entrance codes are being given to and to change the codes periodically.
