Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for most of southern Saskatchewan including Regina and Moose Jaw, saying the area could see anywhere from 20 to 40 mm of rain.

A developing low pressure system near Cypress Hills will track eastward this afternoon which will result in moist and unstable air which will lead to heavy rain and possible thunderstorms.

Some areas of the province could see as much as 50 mm of rain.
