CALGARY – Police believe a motorcycle involved in a crash on Thursday was travelling more than 200 km/h at the time.
Officers first spotted the bike on Hubalta Road S.E. around 10 p.m., and followed it as it turned a corner into the community of Erin woods.
The driver lost control along Erin Woods Blvd. S.E., and began travelling over lawns and through a fence, before finally crashing in front of a house.
The motorcyclist suffered serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
No one else was hurt.
Police are investigating if alcohol was involved.
