A Surrey man is being treated in hospital after being mugged early Sunday morning, according to Mounties.
Officers say the man was walking from a gas station to a bank in Whalley at around 4 a.m. when he was jumped by three men.
The attackers allegedly used a weapon to smash down on the man’s arm.
They made off with the man’s cell phone and some cash.
The victim had to go to his home nearby before he could call police and when officers arrived they realized the gash on his arm was serious.
He was taken to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
