REGINA – Richard Daniel Wolfe is in police custody after a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday.
On Tuesday afternoon, 38-year-old Richard Wolfe turned himself into the Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP. He will be held in custody until his first court appearance.
It was reported yesterday that Wolfe was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after he had been charged with sexual assault and assault with a weapon. A woman said she was sexually assaulted by Wolfe at a house in Fort Qu’Appelle on Sunday morning.
Wolfe has a lengthy criminal history, including an 18-year sentence on convictions for attempted murder in Manitoba back in 1996.
He served 2/3 of his sentence and has been on statutory release since September 2010.
