CANWOOD, Sask. – A handgun taken during a violent home invasion has been recovered.
The gun was taken during the break-in at the home in the RM of Canwood, west of Prince Albert, after the homeowner and the suspects became engaged in an altercation.

The two suspects then fled after assaulting the man.
Mounties from several detachments responded and a canine unit was able to locate the gun during the search for the duo.
Both were caught and charges are pending.
