“A place like this saves lives” new winter shelter opens in Kelowna and quickly fills to capacity

With temperatures dipping below zero at night in the Okanagan—many, who have been sleeping outside, have been struggling to stay warm. But as of today --there are 40 additional beds in Kelowna to keep homeless people safe during the winter months with the opening of a new emergency shelter. Klaudia Van Emmerik reports.
