Service providers in Kelowna fear scramble for winter shelter will happen every year
Description
November 10, 2022
Still no news on a temporary winter shelter to house the roughly 150 people sleeping outside in the bitter cold in Kelowna. While community service groups are doing what they can to help--shelter operators are looking at more permanent solutions, like more supportive housing, to avoid this kind of situation next winter.
But As Klaudia Van Emmerik reports, there does not seem to be any plans in the works for that to happen any time soon.
