Carney pledges more funding to CBC while Poilievre plans cuts

Liberal leader Mark Carney pledged on Friday to boost CBC and Radio-Canada’s funding if elected. The plan includes developing a new mandate for the public broadcasters which Carney called crucial to protecting the country’s sovereignty in the face of U.S. attacks. As Mackenzie Gray reports, the plan comes in stark contrast to what’s being proposed by the conservatives.
