Winnipeggers are being reminded to be careful around thin ice after firefighters rescued a dog that had fallen into the frigid water of a city retention pond Tuesday morning.

Winnipeg police are issuing a warning to Kilcona Dog Park users after a man reported he and his two dogs were encircled and followed by what appeared to be a group of coyotes.
