Smoke was seen coming from the basement near a staff entrance.
A small fire was found in a duct, according to police. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Guests were given alternative accommodations for the night as they weren’t permitted back into the hotel.
The hotel has since reopened but made sure the ducts were flushed out and cleaned before guests returned.
