REGINA – Get out your green Rider Nation – Premier Brad Wall has declared Friday, November 22nd ‘Green Day’ in advance of the 101st Grey Cup.
“After the Roughriders won the western final in Calgary, I received several requests to declare a public holiday to celebrate,” said Wall. “Unfortunately, I am not vested with that authority. I checked. But, I can ask everyone to show their Rider pride and wear green this Friday.”

The Grey Cup game being played in Regina on Sunday will be the 19th time the Riders have played in the game and the third time that the city will have hosted the event.

“Rider nation is recognized around the world,” Wall said. “Let’s show our team, our Grey Cup guests and sports fans around the world what real fans look like.”
On Wednesday at 6 p.m. the premier will also be turning the Legislative dome completely green.
