Freezing death on Saskatchewan First Nation

BATTLEFORDS, Sask. – A man has been found dead in a ditch on a Saskatchewan First Nation.

A 48-year-old man from the Red Pheasant First Nation was found in the ditch on Wednesday morning.

Police say the man appears to have left his residence in the early morning hours and succumbed to the cold.

Foul play is not suspected and an autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.

His name has not been released.
