Edmonton – The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) arrested a man Sunday night wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Carl Patrick Joseph Pahtayken was apprehended in the area of 65 Street and 130 Avenue after police say a thorough search was conducted in downtown and north Edmonton.

Officers say Pahthayken failed to report to his parole officer on Friday, October 18.
The 49-year-old was serving a two year, seven month sentence for criminal flight and assaulting a police officer with a weapon.

The EPS says Pahthayken has gang affiliations.
Prior to his arrest, police believed Pahthayken was armed and dangerous, but he was apprehended without incident.
