Angel is scheduled to undergo surgery in January to repair torn tendons in his shoulder.

Angel has performed more than 2,100 of the 4,600 scheduled shows since Believe debuted on Halloween night in 2008.

The show was co-written and directed by Quebec native Serge Denoncourt.
