A fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Highway 2 north of Carstairs, Alta. has left one person dead.
The male pedestrian was dead when Didsbury and Airdrie RCMP arrived on scene Saturday around 6:15 a.m. The man has been identified by police as a 25-year-old Red Deer resident.

The vehicle involved stayed on scene.
Police redirected traffic in the south lane of Highway 2, north of Highway 581, and as of 10:30 a.m., traffic has resumed as normal.
