Online retail giant Amazon is reportedly set to open an office in downtown Vancouver, and recently posted close to 100 jobs for its new Vancouver location.
According to Techvibes, the company will move into the Telus Garden building, which is currently under construction.
Mayor Gregor Robertson tweeted the news on Tuesday, saying there is room for more than 1,000 new jobs with Amazon.
We have put in numerous calls to Amazon, but at this time they have not commented on the deal.
Amazon is based in Seattle, and in 2012 employed more than 88,000 people around the world.
