Hold and secures at 4 Brampton schools lifted, police say

The hold and secures at four Brampton, Ont., schools have been lifted, police say.

In a series of tweets Monday, Peel Regional Police said officers received a report of a man with a gun in the Brisdale Drive and Jessop Drive area.

As a precaution, police said Brisdale Public School, St. Aidan Catholic school, St. Edmund Champion Catholic school and Fletchers Meadow Public school were each placed under a hold and secure.

In an update at 11:47 a.m., police said officers determined the gun was not real, and the hold and secures had been lifted.
