North Vancouver senior woman injured in pedestrian collision now identified

A senior woman who was knocked unconscious when a vehicle struck her on Friday has now been identified.

Investigators turned to the public for help as they were not able to identify her.

But, Saturday afternoon, police are now saying the woman has been identified and is “in the company of her family.”

The woman was stuck while using a crosswalk on Capilano Road and Garden Avenue around 9 a.m.

Police said she struck her head and lost consciousness.

The senior woman is still in hospital, receiving treatment for her injuries, according to police.
