Three teenagers who were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Brampton over the weekend were siblings, police say.
Emergency crews were called to the collision in the area of Conestoga Drive and Elmvale Avenue, near Kennedy Road, after 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Police said a vehicle crashed into a tree and was engulfed in flames.
The three occupants, all teenagers, died at the scene.
Keyanna Blackman-Warren — the teens’ sister — identified her siblings to Global News as 15-year-old Pharaoh Blackman-Lall, 17-year-old Judah Blackman-Lall and 19-year-old Tirzah Blackman-Lall.
She said her family was very “tight knit” growing up.
“We were all pretty much joined at the hip,” she said. “Especially them three.”
Blackman-Warren said her brother Pharaoh was “always smiling” and “always laughing.”
“He was just so light-hearted and he was always so positive,” she said. “He would always be making jokes, he would always be trying to uplift other people.”
She said her brother was a great soccer player and took the sport very seriously.
“On his off days, he would always be training,” she said.
Blackman-Warren said her brother Judah was the “epitome of loyal” and took his relationships with his brothers, sisters and mother “extremely seriously.”
“He would protect us at all costs,” she said.
She said he was “so kind.”
“He cared a lot about everyone he loved and he would do anything for them,” she said.
Blackman-Warren said Tirzah was “so ambitious.”
“She was always working to be the best version of herself and to do the best that she can in everything that she tried to pursue,” she said.
Blackman-Warren said her sister was “resilient” and was an athlete who “thrived” at long-distance running.
She said the family is coping as best they can with the loss of the three teens.
“I want people to know that these kids were so loved,” she said.
“They were special and they were talented and they will never be forgotten.”
Blackman-Warren said the support from friends and family has been “overwhelming.”
“But I do appreciate it and I hope that everybody knows that I’m trying my best to express it,” she said.
Peel police’s Major Collision Bureau is continuing to investigate.
