YORKTON, Sask. – A teen is without a ride after being clocked at over double the speed limit in a Yorkton school zone.
RCMP in the eastern Saskatchewan city nabbed the youth after he was caught doing 105 km/h on Tuesday afternoon.

Speed limits in Yorkton school zones are 40 km/h from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Besides having the vehicle impounded, the teen was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
A second driver was caught doing 89 km/h in a school zone on Wednesday afternoon.

He was given at $396 ticket and also had his vehicle impounded.
Mounties say they have handed out a number of school zone speeding tickets in the past week and are reminding drivers to slow down.
