Suspect arrested after man bound, robbed in Lloydminster

NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – RCMP arrested 21-year-old Chase Hamilton Tuesday after an armed robbery and forcible confinement in Lloydminster last month.

Around 11:45 a.m., Mounties conducted property searches at two residences in North Battleford.

Hamilton was taken into custody and he will be appearing in court in North Battleford Thursday morning.

He is facing a number of charges including armed robbery, forcible confinement, mischief and breach of probation.

An arrest warrant was issued for Hamilton after an incident in Lloydminster on Sept. 27.

RCMP said a man invited two people into his camper trailer and the two then pulled a firearm on the man and demanded money.

A struggle ensued and the victim ended up being bound and driven to a rural area east of the city.

Hamilton is from North Battleford and was considered armed and dangerous.
