The driver of the vehicle that hit and killed 16-year-old Annie Leung in September has still not turned themselves in to police.

An appeal has been posted on the popular site Reddit for the driver to come forward.

The poster writes that they understand this incident could happen to anyone.

“To the driver: Here is what we want to say to you, whoever you are: Have courage, and do the right thing. Accidents happen. It could have happened to anyone. The driver could have been anyone. Whoever you are, we want to let you know we understand that you did not expect this to have happened either, and that you also would not have wanted this to happen. We want you to know that, we forgive you, but you need to do your part and accept the responsibility. What has occurred is now reality, so you must admit it, stop hiding, and face it. This, is the very least you can do in light of the situation,” part of the post reads.
