Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by truck

CALGARY – A man in his late 50’s was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after being hit by a truck.

It happened at a marked crosswalk at the intersection of 76 Avenue S.E. and Ogden Road, just after 6 a.m.

Police say the pedestrian was thrown a significant distance.

He was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition, with serious but non life-threatening leg injuries.
