Toronto police say several samples also came out negative and did not contain any “medicinal ingredients.”

Investigators say a citizen discovered an unknown substance mixed with hot dogs last Monday at Oakvale Green Park near Greenwood Avenue and Danforth Avenue. No injuries were reported.

Residents in the area are still being reminded to keep a close eye on their children and pets.

An investigation is ongoing and there’s no word yet on who may have left the tainted meat.
