TORONTO – Police have issued a public safety alert after tainted hot dogs were found in an east-end Toronto park.
Investigators say a citizen discovered an unknown substance mixed with hot dogs on Monday at Oakvale Green Park near Greenwood Avenue and Danforth Avenue.
Police checked the area but no further substances were found.
Residents in the area are being asked to keep a close eye on their children and report any findings.
Meanwhile, police are reminding owners to keep their pets on a leash.
