City crews were busy cleaning up after a fire in a downtown Winnipeg bus shelter Thursday morning.
The blaze, near the intersection of Garry Street and Portage Avenue, started in the early morning hours, city officials said.
It’s believed that the shelter was being used as a temporary encampment when the fire began.
Although no one was injured, a city spokesperson said the structure suffered “significant damage”.
The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
