RCMP have charged four people, including a prison employee and two inmates in an alleged drug running operation at a federal penitentiary in Manitoba.
In a news release Friday, police say the arrests date back to August 22, when 29 year old Christopher Sposito and 24 year old Ashleigh Sullivan were taken into custody in Selkirk. Police say at the time, Sposito was a casual support staff worker at Stony Mountain Institution north of Winnipeg. Sullivan had a relationship with an inmate. They have both been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking as well as Conspiracy to Traffic a Controlled Substance. Officials seized Morphine tablets, ephedrine pills, cannabis oil and cash.
