An approaching cold front is moving into the region where a hot and humid air mass has taken hold, making the conditions just right for thunderstorms to pop up ahead of it.

Remember to keep an eye on the sky. If threatening weather approaches, seek shelter immediately.

A watch is issued when conditions are favourable for severe weather. A warning is when hazardous weather is imminent or occurring.
