Driver survives 500 ft. drop

KELOWNA – A Kelowna man in his 40’s miraculously walked away from a serious crash Thursday night after his truck plummeted off a 500-foot embankment in the McCulloch area.

“The vehicle is obviously in very bad shape” says Cpl. Scott Falkingham.

“At this time [the driver] is doing fairly well. He has been taken to hospital for observation but at this point in time it doesn’t seem like he has got any major injuries.”

The driver lived in the McCulloch area and was driving down a narrow gravel road at around 10 p.m. when his Ford Raptor truck went over the embankment.
