Police said the shooting was reported at a townhouse complex on Dragonfly Avenue, near Taunton Road and Sideline 26, at around 11:31 p.m.

Acting Sgt. George Tudos said one man was found dead as a result of gunshot wounds.

Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Quinton McDonald of Pickering in a Tuesday afternoon news release.

Two people, one adult and one minor, were arrested in connection with the shooting, Tudos said. There are no outstanding suspects.

He said there were other people within the residence.

“This appears to be an isolated incident,” Tudos said. “It’s believed that we have in custody the people that we were looking for.”

The news release said McDonald and the two people who were taken into custody live at the residence. It said there have been no charges laid at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
