Forensics experts and members of the VPD’s gang unit were visible at the scene, and officers could be seen checking all vehicles exiting the parkade.

Police said they believe the shooting was targeted.

Multiple sources have told Global News Manj was a well-known figure in Vancouver’s drug trade. He was associated with the United Nations gang and had been on the radar of investigators as far back as 2009 when he was picked up in what was known as Project Rebellion.

His brother Jodh Manj was killed leaving a Mexico City gym in 2018.

The suspect remains at large, and police have asked the public to “remain vigilant” as they worked to apprehend them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vancouver police.
