Calgary police said Wednesday they found a teenage girl who had been missing since Aug. 15.
Her family reported her missing on Aug. 21., and police put out a plea for help on Tuesday.

“We would like to sincerely thank the public and media for sharing her photos and description and providing tips,” police said Wednesday.
“While public tips were not directly responsible for locating [the girl], Calgarians often provide us with critical information needed to locate missing people in other cases.”
