RCMP said two people were killed in a collision east of Beaumont, Alta., Sunday afternoon.
The fatal crash happened on Township Road 505, between range roads 235 and 240, at around 3:30 p.m.

RCMP said preliminary investigation has revealed the driver of an SUV was turning west onto Township Road 505 when an eastbound car on Township Road 505 lost control and collided with the SUV.
The 45-year-old Leduc County woman driving the car was taken to an area hospital where she died of her injuries, RCMP said in an update Monday afternoon.
The passenger of the car, a 21-year-old Beaumont man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 39-year-old Beaumont woman driving the SUV was treated at the scene by EMS and released. RCMP said she was the only person in the SUV at the time of the collision.
Leduc RCMP continue to investigate.

The township road was closed to traffic for several hours on Sunday.
Beaumont is a city about 30 kilometres south of Edmonton.
