RCMP confirm with Global News that a 16-year-old male was arrested on Sunday in relation to threats that were made.

He was released with documents to appear in court at a later date. There are no charges currently laid, but the investigation is ongoing.

In an update on Monday evening, the school district said the high school would reopen Tuesday.

“Student safety remains our priority and we will always err on the side of caution. We continue to encourage our community to inform the school, District or RCMP regarding any suspicious or concerning activity you see in person or online,” a letter to parents reads.
