Toronto man dies in skydiving incident in Innisfil, Ont.

South Simcoe police say a 28-year-old Toronto man has died following a “skydiving incident” in Innisfil, Ont., on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the local skydiving club took off with four skydivers on board.

All the individuals jumped from the plane as planned, but the 28-year-old Toronto man was separated from the rest of the group during the dive.

When the skydiving club couldn’t find the man, they contacted emergency services, which attended the scene in the area of 10 Sideroad and Line 4.

Emergency personnel found the Toronto man in a nearby field. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name isn’t being released at this time. Next of kin have been notified.

Police are working with the coroner to determine the cause of death.
