The CFL Players’ Association will conduct its 2021 annual general meeting virtually.
The union made the announcement Thursday. The AGM is slated to be held Friday and Saturday.
For the first time, CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie will participate as a guest and address player representatives as well as the union executive.

“We have a lot of work to do to give CFLPA members the best opportunity to play a safe 2021 season,” executive director Brian Ramsay said in a statement. “This past year has been one of the most difficult and challenging for our members as well as the history of our association.
“This year’s AGM will be a critical opportunity to bring us together virtually to review and plan the year ahead.”

The CFL was forced to cancel the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The league has released a full 2021 schedule.
