Saskatoon police investigating city’s second homicide of 2021

Saskatoon police are now investigating a 29-year-old woman’s death as a homicide.

Police previously said that they were investigating the incident as a suspicious death.

The woman’s body was found on Thursday.

Police said they were called to a home on Thursday afternoon in the 700 block of 33rd Street West just after 5 p.m.

Someone at the residence reported a woman was dead.

Police are not releasing the manner of death nor the identity of the victim until family can be found.

No arrests have been made and investigators don’t believe there is any threat to the public.

This investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or Saskatoon Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
