Shot fired during tavern robbery in Foam Lake, Sask.

WADENA, Sask. – Two suspects are at large after a shot was fired during an armed robbery at a Foam Lake tavern on Saturday.

Around 11:30 p.m., two armed men wearing masks entered Willy’s Hotel Tavern & Grill and demanded everyone get on the ground.

A shot was discharged into the ceiling of the tavern from a long-barrelled firearm.

No injuries were reported.

RCMP say staff and patrons followed the directions of the robbers who quickly made off with an undisclosed amount of cash from the till.

According to the tavern’s Facebook page, it will be closed until 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Both suspects wore dark coloured clothing and were between 5’9″ and 6’2″ tall. One suspect had a heavier build.
