Suspicious death near Shellbrook, Sask., deemed a homicide: RCMP

A suspicious death at a rural home north of Shellbrook, Sask., is being investigated as a homicide.

Saskatchewan RCMP said they were called to the home, roughly 32 kilometres north of Shellbrook on Highway 240, on Oct. 15.

Officers found the body of Bradley John Schmalz, 48.

His cause of death has not been released by police. An autopsy is scheduled to take place Monday in Saskatoon.

Police believe Schmalz died sometime between Oct. 12 and Oct. 15.

No other details have been released as police continue to investigate.
