Scotty William Pate identified as victim of fatal east London shooting

London Police Service’s major crime section is continuing to investigate a shooting that took place about 8:53 p.m. in the area of Dundas Street and Ashland Avenue in London.

The deceased has been identified as Scotty William Pate, 27 of London.

“Investigators don’t believe it was a random incident,” Cst. Sandasha Bough said.

Bough said there have been 14 shootings in the City of London since the start of the year, four of which were fatal.

London Police say no arrests have been made at this time.

On Friday, London police said a post-mortem exam determined Pate’s cause of death to be a gunshot wound and manner of death to be homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
