The ship has been the subject of dispute between the federal and provincial governments over jurisdictional responsibility.

During this time, the ship has steadily disintegrated.

The group says the MV Miner is a danger to anyone approaching the vessel and poses a potential risk of serious contamination in the event of its complete breakup.

It’s asking the newly appointed Raitt for an impartial review of the facts of the case.
