TORONTO – Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert is set to marry her hockey player beau Dion Phaneuf this weekend.
Cuthbert, who was born in Calgary but grew up in Montreal, will tie the knot with the Edmonton-born Toronto Maple Leafs captain at their waterfront home in New London, PEI.
According to a source, the wedding will be followed by a party with friends and family members topped off with fireworks over the water.
The couple has hired Charlottetown-based Lowell Productions to capture their special day on video.

Cuthbert, 30, and Phaneuf, 28, have been together for five years and were engaged in September 2012.
The couple also has a condo on Toronto’s Bay Street.
In January, Cuthbert told US Weekly she was doing her own wedding planning.
“You hear a lot about people saying that it’s a stressful thing to do, planning a wedding, but I have to say — knock on wood — so far so good,” she said. “Every step has gotten me more excited about our actual wedding day.”
Phaneuf was also involved. “We’ve been doing it together,” Cuthbert said. “And it’s just been lovely.”
On Thursday, Phaneuf was spotted playing a round of golf with friends at Crowbush Golf and Beach Resort in Lakeside, PEI.
Cuthbert’s series Happy Endings was cancelled in May after three seasons. It is not known if she is reprising her role as Kim Bauer in the forthcoming 24: Live Another Day series.
