The Saskatoon Regional Health Authority has unanimously passed a motion approving the functional program for the new Children’s Hospital of Saskatchewan.
That program lists what types of maternal and pediatric health care services will be incorporated into the design of the new hospital.
Board Chair Jim Rhode says passing this motion is huge and represents another milestone for the facility.
There will be a total of 164 beds for the new hospital, which is expected to open in 2014.
