A violent criminal convicted of manslaughter in the death of an Edmonton man in 2000 has been deported.
Manh Phi Nguyen, 31, was removed from the country on Wednesday escorted by Canada Border Services.
In 2002, Manh Phi and his brother Hoang Phuong Nguyen were convicted of manslaughter. Manh Phi completed his jail sentence in October 2009, and has remained in custody pending his deportation.
Hoang Phuong Nguyen was removed by the CBSA in September 2008.
